It’s the final part of the 2019 Kpopalypse Objectification Survey results!  Who are the most attractive k-pop idols for 2019, according to Kpopalypse readers?  Let’s take a look!

The Kpopalypse 2019 Objectification Survey was an outstanding success, with more participation from the k-pop community than ever before!  Almost 900 people chose to cast a vote in this year’s survey, a truly amazing effort in mass objectification and depersonalisation of the idols we all love.

As per last year, voters were asked to choose up to three nominees in each category, best first.

• Your first choice was weighted 100% higher than your second choice
• Your second choice was weighted 66% higher than your third choice
• If you doubled or tripled on choices, only the first choice was counted
• Choices after the third were disregarded in all cases

Scores were then tallied to give the final results across all categories. Note that tallies this year were computer-counted by a very kind and dedicated caonima, saving Kpopalypse lots of work, but this also means that you needed to read the instructions and vote more accurately and properly than ever before or your vote did not count.

Remember folks – that if you object to any of the choices here, you only have yourselves to blame as these were 100% your votes, not mine.  Kpopalypse does not even cast a vote – these are NOT my picks but YOURS, and this isn’t like a rigged Korean TV show where the “judges” get a say and can overturn fan opinion.  If you want to see a certain result, then it’s your responsibility to spread the surveys to the people who are going to vote for your faves!

MOST ATTRACTIVE WOMEN IN K-POP

#1 – TZUYU – TWICE

2019 has a brand new winner, with more Kpopalypse readers fancying Tzuyu than any other k-pop female.  Asa result, Tzuyu takes the top spot for the first time in the hotly-contested overall most attractive category!

#2 – SANA – TWICE

Trailing closely behind her groupmate, Sana also put on a very strong showing this year.

#3 – IRENE – RED VELVET

Last year’s winner Irene from Red Velvet was completely trounced by Team Twice this year but still made an impressive third place showing.

Jihyo skyrocketed past many of her own groupmates in 2019, most likely on the back of much better styling than previous years.

Usually when there’s a tie in the picture rankings I go searching for some fuzzy or less-than-ideally entered data to swing the result one way or the other, but there was no separating Mina and Momo this year, who both settled in on exactly the same score.  Who’s complaining?

A previous consistent performer, Seolhyun still did well but dipped significantly compared to previous years due to her group’s relative inactivity.

The first entrant in this category to not make picture status in the previous year, Red Velvet’s Seulgi finally powered up into the top ten.

Although she slipped slightly in both placings and votes, lots of Blackpink activity kept Jennie relevant amid the Twice/Red Velvet fapslaught of 2019.

The first Loona member to ever attain coveted picture status in the most attractive females results shows that this new group is going places.  Just remember Loona fans, that if you had stanned Loona more and shared the survey when it was active, maybe the Twice domination of this category wouldn’t have happened.

On the other hand IU is no stranger to being objectified, and doesn’t she know it all too well.  Her barely-concealed and completely justifiable hatred of all k-pop fans everywhere may have scared off a few votes this year, but she still was hot enough to maintain picture status anyway.

Trailing the picture rankings is Twice’s Dahyun, who shot up from absolutely nowhere last year, a hugely impressive effort.  Who knows how many rivers were killed with hair dye residue in the process of getting her that ranking, but it was probably worth the effort.

No dramatic upset for the front-runner this year, as BTS’ Jungkook easily scores the top category for the second year running, proof that BTS is in fact a k-pop.

#2 – V/TAEHYUNG – BTS

The previous second-in-place and longtime fan favourite BigBang’s T.O.P vacates picture status for the first time ever, gosh I can’t imagine why that could have happened.  Taehyung is the beneficiary, who moves up to claim his position.

It was a great year for Wonho across all categories, and it just goes to show that enjoying big anime tiddies is not harmful to a person’s health, career or fapability prospects.  He’s definitely earned himself a second lot of recommendations.

Speaking of big names, they don’t get much bigger than Super Junior’s Shindong, who maintains a top ten placing in a year that has felled many supposedly greater stars.

Jin isn’t quite as popular some of his groupmates, but still maintains his strong spot from last year, finishing our top ten most attractive males.

Taecyeon wasn’t super-active in 2019, but certainly hasn’t suffered in the polls at all for it, with a very impressive performance.

I’m not sure why Taeyong dipped in the polls so much this year, but he still managed to squeeze in a picture placing as well as the best performance out of the numerous NCT members.
